Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. General Policy

 

We at Mahi Resort aim to provide an exceptional experience to all our guests. However, we understand that plans can change. Below is our policy for cancellations and refunds, designed to be clear and transparent.

 

2. Scope

 

This policy applies to all bookings made directly through Mahi Resort or through authorized third-party booking platforms. It covers room bookings, events, and other services.

 

3. Cancellation Terms

 

For Room Bookings:

 

I. Standard Rate Bookings

• Free Cancellation: Cancellations made 7 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund.

• Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in will incur a charge equivalent to 1 night’s stay.

• No-Show Policy: Guests who fail to arrive without prior cancellation will be charged for the entire stay.

 

II. Non-Refundable Rate Bookings

• Non-Refundable: For non-refundable rates, cancellations or modifications at any time will result in no refund.

• Partial Credit: In the event of cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (medical emergencies, etc.), partial credit may be offered at the discretion of the management, valid for use within 6 months.

III. For Group/Corporate Bookings (5 or more rooms):

• Free Cancellation: Cancellations made 15 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund.

• Late Cancellations: Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before the check-in date will have deduction equivalent to 25% of the total booking cost.

• No-Show Policy: Failure to show up without prior cancellation will incur a charge for the entire stay.

 

IV. No refunds will be provided once a guest has arrived at the resort premises, regardless of stay or day picnic bookings.

 

4. Refund Process

I. Refund Timeline: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the cancellation request is approved. Refunds will be credited to the same payment method used during the booking process.

II. Partial Refunds: In the event of partial cancellations or early check-outs, a pro-rata refund will be provided based on the remaining duration of the stay.

III. Booking through Third-Party Platforms: For cancellations made through third-party booking platforms (e.g., Agoda, Booking.com, etc.), the refund policy of the respective platform applies. Guests are advised to check the terms and conditions of the booking platform.

 

5. Special Conditions

 

I. Force Majeure: In case of cancellations due to events beyond control (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.), Mahi Resort will offer a full refund or credit for future stays.

II. Event Cancellations

• Event Booking: Cancellations of events (weddings, conferences, etc.) made 30 days before the scheduled event will receive a full refund.

• Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

• No-Show: Full charges will be applied in case of no-show for event bookings.

 

6. Modification Policy

 

I. Booking Modifications: Guests can modify their booking (dates, room types, etc.) subject to availability.

II. Free Modification: Modifications made 7 days before check-in will not incur any charges.

III. Late Modifications: Modifications made within 7 days of the check-in date may incur additional charges depending on the room rates for the new dates.

IV. Duration of Stay

• Early Check-Out: In case of early check-out, no refunds will be provided for the unused nights unless agreed otherwise at the time of booking.

 

7. Threat or Misconduct

In cases of threats, misconduct, or any behaviour deemed inappropriate by the management, all refund claims become void. The resort reserves the right to terminate the guest’s stay without any refund.

8. Management Rights

The resort management reserves full discretion over refunds and cancellation adjustments. Any refund consideration outside of this policy will be handled solely by the management team, whose decision will be final and binding.

10. Amendments to the Policy

 

Mahi Resort reserves the right to modify or update this cancellation and refund policy at any time without prior notice. However, for existing bookings, the policy at the time of booking will apply.
